Position Overview

The Production Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing engineering activities within the manufacturing plant, ensuring:

• Efficient and effective manufacturing processes.

• High standards of quality, productivity, and safety.

• Successful implementation of new products, parts, and processes.

• Continuous improvement and waste reduction.

• Effective resolution of complex manufacturing and technical issues.

• Achievement of production and cost objectives.

I. Key Responsibilities

1. Production Engineering Team Management

• Lead, mentor, train, and develop the Production Engineering team.

• Provide guidance and direction to ensure team performance and professional growth.

2. Manufacturing & Process Engineering

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures.

• Optimize production efficiency, quality, safety, and cost.

• Monitor production data and metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

• Implement corrective actions when required.

3. New Product & Process Introduction

• Collaborate with R&D, Production, Sourcing, Quality, Planning, and other functions.

• Support the development and implementation of new products, parts, and manufacturing processes.

4. Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.

• Apply manufacturing principles to enhance overall operational performance.

5. Equipment, Technology & Automation

• Manage the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and automation systems.

• Work with suppliers and vendors to evaluate new technologies, materials, and equipment.

• Identify solutions to improve manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.

6. Technical Problem Solving

• Provide engineering support for complex manufacturing issues.

• Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.

• Develop effective solutions to optimize production output.

7. Budget & Cost Control

• Develop and manage the Production Engineering budget.

• Ensure effective resource allocation and cost control.

II. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in Production Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering.

• Preferably 2+ years of management experience.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, fabrication, and automation.

• Experience in continuous improvement and process optimization.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Good understanding of Quality Management Systems / ISO standards.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a team.

• Ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
