R&D Manager

TalentsAll's client is a European manufacturer specialized in developing, manufacturing, and supplying their premium power products with a range of customers worldwide in the medical, test & measurement, military, and robotics industries, and have been growing dynamically for over 30 years.

Responsibility

The objective of this role is to build up the Research and Development team and establish a high-quality development process in Vietnam while ensuring regular exchanges with the German R&D team. Additionally, the role aims to control projects to meet quality, time, and cost targets, closely cooperate with the manufacturing team, and coordinate with the global purchasing team to optimize product costs.

• Establish a high-quality development process in Vietnam.

• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept through to final production, ensuring timely and successful product launches.

• Maintain regular exchanges with the German R&D team.

• Control projects to ensure quality, time, and cost targets are met.

• Cooperate closely with the manufacturing team to improve products and assembly processes.

• Coordinate with the global purchasing team to optimize product costs.

• Ensure all development activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and budget, to various projects based on priority and potential impact.

• Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for skill enhancement and career growth.

• Establish and manage relationships with external partners, including suppliers, research institutions, and technology providers.

• Perform other tasks assigned by the superior.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or other related fields.

• More than 5 years of experience leading larger development teams.

• Previous experience in battery or charger development is an advantage.

• Experience using Siemens NX is a must.

• Experience with MS Office and SAP is an advantage.

• Excellent Vietnamese and English language skills, both written and spoken.
